Tonight was a night I've been waiting for since, oh, roughly the moment we found out Jana was pregnant with Will. Tonight was the night Will started T-ball.
Yes, he just got done playing his first organized sport, soccer, which was a lot of fun. But this is different, a game I played through high school and one in which my dad coached me.
Will did fine. He hit the ball well, but like almost every other kid playing (except Parker), he didn't really know what was going on in the field. Once, while playing first base, Will ran along with the runner to second base, leaving Parker no one to throw the ball to.
The best part of the day? This morning at breakfast, when Will said "Daddy, are you going to be my coach for T-ball?" When I said yes, he shouted "Yay!"

I am sure you will be wonderful coach. You have a great role model in your dad. Good luck. Can't wait to see him play!!
Ditto-you will be an awesome coach-especially since you are so patient! Having a state title under you belt helps to gain respect too:) I want to come and see him play this summer-can you send a schedule?
